I realize that any aerosol product has a warning on the label that says to make sure you're in a ventilated space when using it. But I would say that goes triple for this stuff. It's extremely strong and you'll absolutely inhale some of the vapors. If you don't have some kind of safety mask (beyond the cloth that most people are using during covid), I would suggest purchasing a package of those too.
One other thing is that you should wear long sleeves when using this product - and on a shirt you don't mind ruining a bit. I have pretty hairy arms and I can feel it settle on the tips of the hair when I spray it. It's not a problem or anything, but just something else to consider.
All in all, really great product from 3M.

I used upholstery fabric, which is wider and heavier than regular fabrics. Once the nasty junk was off the form (and I do mean nasty-- the "foam" adhesive stuff was like napalm-- except, you know, without the heat, nasty burns and death, but the same amount of sticky doom [wear disposable gloves]), I got the fabric straight and lifted sections, sprayed, let it get tacky, then put the fabric on the form and smoothed. If you don't let it get tacky, the adhesive will soak through. You don't want that.
I did the same thing with my door panels sometime in 2012, which required sewing for the arm rests, but turned out awesome.
I sold the car late 2013 and the headliner was still hanging in there fairly well. Some parts started to sag ever so slightly, visually it was not noticeable, but you could feel it. The doors were perfect.
This stuff held fabric in a gravity defying position at least 5 years, including the hellacious southern summers, in a black car. I can't complain. I'll no doubt use this again for any project that requires this type of adhesive.

Be careful and spray in a clean area. Some little spatters got outside of my cleaning area and hardened to the wall, floor, and electronics. So.. yeah that's not coming out without damaging the surface. So be careful when you spray.
Good thing is that I stopped the project halfway through and picked it up again days later, and the spray worked fine. No hardened gunk around the nozzle to render it useless. Just use your fingers and wipe it clean if you stop the project. Also keep in mind the spray pattern will change a bit after you use more than half the can and won't spray so clean and straight. It gets weaker and you have to practically shake while you spray.. but it will work til the end.
